Miles for Muscles
partnered with Stone Circle of
Friends to raise awareness and provide research funding for Myotonic
Muscular Dystrophy (MMD) through their cycling team. Mike Hamlin, a one time avid cyclist
with Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy, inspired folks to join him on a 100
mile ride. Mike is no longer able to ride a bike, so he rode a
recumbent trike instead. Join Mike on this adventure...

In an effort
to raise awareness about
MMD and to help raise research funds, the Stone Circle of Friends have
enthusiastically volunteered to work again at the annual Irish Festival
in Churchill. We had an awesome mix of friends ranging from law
buddies, Bikram Yogis, YMCA folks who work with Elliott and Nicholas
weekly, Moody and Freeman buddies, the West End Jaycees, and family and
friends! Thanks to Stokes McCune
for having us back, we had a great time!
And thanks to Lucky Judd for
creating the video below...

Randy
Blythe, lead singer for Lamb of
God and friend, auctioned his Grammy Medal on ebay for MMD research a
few months ago.... Dan, who
wants to remain anonymous, won the medal at
$2,500. After learning more about MMD and about Nicholas and Elliott,
Dan gifted the medal to the Stone boys.
Dan wrote to us, "It seemed a logical way to perpetuate
Randy’s selfless donation of the medallion. I’m a big Lamb of God fan,
so this was a real opportunity to make the experience complete."
