Stone Circle of Friends
Welcome to the Stone Circle of Friends

The Stone Circle of Friends is a non-profit organization committed to expediting a therapy or a cure for Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy. Our focus is to raise funds to directly support promising research conducted at the University of Virginia by Dr. Mani Mahadevan and his lab.   Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy (MMD) is the number one inherited neuromuscular disease in the United States and it kills one quarter of the most affected newborns. Those who survive face a lifetime of challenges.  At this time there is no treatment or cure.

Please consider giving generously to help the research outpace the progression of this illness in the current generation.

Randy's Medallion
Todd and his friend Randy Blythe, lead vocalist for the Metal group "Lamb of God", are auctioning off his Grammy Medallion and certificate on eBay. The funds will go to The Myotonic Dystrophy Foundation, to support MMD research.

MDFYou can go to Myotonic.com starting in late January 2009 to bid or click on the medallion above. The band is touring North America all this month. A Grammy is a difficult item to part with...

Thank you Randy!

Todd Stone, cofounder of the Stone Circle of Friends, has produced these compelling videos describing the mission he and his family have undertaken - to fight Myotonic Muscular Dystrophy by helping to fund vital research. According to researchers, the cure is within reach but funding is a major obstacle. The Stones are seeking to give their two boys and others with MMD a chance to thrive in a healthy body, with clear minds and a strong heart. Please consider how you can give to help expedite a cure and make a change in the world.
